General questions.

Who is eStreamly for?

eStreamly is built for teams that treat video as a primary commerce surface, not a vanity channel. Five profiles we work with most often:

  • Mid-size brands & retailers — prioritizing video content and digital experience excellence, focused on streamlining the path to checkout and optimizing media spend. Unified commerce is a real strategic priority.
  • CommentSold users running 2 platforms — live-streaming regularly and outgrowing CommentSold, now juggling Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento. Audience lives on social; conversion to your own surfaces is the bottleneck.
  • Creator-led brands — streaming across TikTok and other platforms, fighting algorithm shifts and high platform fees, actively building owned lists, sites, and infrastructure to monetize a dedicated audience.
  • Marketing merchants — reseller/associate-driven, dealing with high churn and constant retraining. You need a tool resellers can adopt quickly to leverage their digital presence more effectively.
  • High-risk merchants — limited to your own infrastructure, strong at events and retention, but blocked by vendors that won’t work with you. You want to innovate within your policy framework.
Who is eStreamly not for?

We try to be honest about fit. If you recognize yourself below, we’re probably not the right partner — and we’ll say so on the call.

  • Auction-based merchants — if auctions are your core model and you want to run them on social, we don’t currently offer an auction feature.
  • "Video is a nice-to-have" — 80% of video commerce success comes from your ability to make content viewers want to watch. We’re a platform, not a production house.
  • Podcasters / solopreneurs without an e-commerce stack — we don’t do commission-based pricing and we won’t replace your commerce backbone.
  • Pure customer acquisition — if acquisition is the only goal, focus on TikTok Shop. Their algo is unmatched for that.
Is eStreamly a customer-acquisition play or a customer-retention play?

Retention. If the goal is customer acquisition, focus on TikTok Shop — their algorithm is unmatched and that’s where the dollars go. We wrote about this here.

If the goal is customer retention, eStreamly makes sense. Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube barely push your organic reach to new users anymore (and their ad units aren’t designed for commerce). What we built:

Broadcast and make content shoppable on platform for Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Your followers get notified and can engage live — you leverage the best part of those platforms: your existing follower base.

  1. The stream also runs on your site.
  2. An independent subscriber notification system. Viewers who like your stream on social can "subscribe" and get SMS/email notifications for future streams. ~35% of viewers come from this system.

The head of video commerce at Flipkart broke down her framework on our podcast — well worth a listen on retention and video commerce.

Finally, some clients run both: a 1–2 hour show on TikTok, then the same show on eStreamly for other socials + their site. The production is the hard part; reusing it across surfaces is the easy win.

What e-commerce integrations do you support?

eStreamly integrates with your e-commerce environment. We seamlessly connect to Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud / Demandware (including Genesis) and custom sites.

Where can viewers watch my video content?

Your shoppable livestreams and videos can be embedded on your website, third-party websites, email, SMS, mobile app, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). We do support TikTok, but given recent algorithm changes we strongly recommend against simulcasting there.

Can shoppers buy directly from social media?

Yes — we currently support Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

For shoppable video, you can use our headless commerce video store as the landing page for your ads, or automatically send DMs to users engaging with your social posts.

For livestream, when your live goes on you can connect your social handle and we’ll send a shoppable video link to viewers that makes the entire experience shoppable in-place.

Can I stream to TikTok as well?

Yes, you can simulcast to TikTok if your account has over 10,000 followers. That said, the current algorithm doesn’t reward simulcasts — most teams get better results focusing TikTok separately.

Can I stream to Amazon Live as well?

eStreamly does not natively support Amazon Live. However, if you already have an Amazon Live merchant account, we can hook your eStreamly stream into it.

In-video checkout.

How is payment connected to my account?

eStreamly offers several payment paths:

  • Through your e-commerce platform — we leverage platform checkout whenever possible.
  • Stripe as a payment provider.
  • Visa / Cybersource — connect to over 50% of global bank acquirers worldwide.
  • PayPal — connect your PayPal account.

Shoppers pay with credit or debit cards and digital wallets. eStreamly is not a payment company — we never touch payment data. We surface the embedded payment module of your provider on the video, and payment security is managed by your provider as usual.

How long does it take to tag products on videos?

Less than 5 minutes to set up a livestream or shoppable video. For livestreams, most users tag products in advance, but you can also add products live during the show. We do have an AI that can tag videos at a fixed time daily or weekly, ask us about it.

Can we use this feature if our Facebook shop isn’t set up?

Yes — no Facebook shop required. You or any influencer can run a Facebook live from a personal handle and sell products without issues, while you remain in full control of the data and the payment process.

Is my inventory reflected on the videos?

Yes. The operating rules of your e-commerce stack are followed — stock levels, variants, pricing, and availability all sync.

Who is the merchant of record?

You are. Videos are an extension of your e-commerce store, not a separate marketplace.

Is the shopping experience redirected to my site from social?

Yes & No: We have 2 payment flow

True In-video checkout: the shopping experience happens on social media. The shopper is not redirected. eStreamly is fundamentally different from most players because the cart and payment live on the video itself.

We built a cart on the video. The shopper’s payment is approved by your existing payment processor’s rails. All data is tokenized for maximum security. When the transaction returns validated, we automatically push the order to your e-commerce backend, triggering every automation you already have set up. When it completes, shoppers can keep watching, buy more, or continue their journey on social.

Redirect to site checkout: users add to cart on the video and at the time of checkout, all items are added to your site checkout page and user get redirected to finalize their transaction.

Data & privacy.

Do you store any payment information?

No. If you choose to do a redirect to cart flow for checkout, 100% of the data will seat on your ecommerce.

If you choose true in-video checkout, eStreamly embed the secure payment module of the payment provider you selected. We do not have access, can store or can touch any critical payment consumer information. All payment data is encrypted at the moment of input by your payment gateway. We leverage your platform’s or processor’s tokenization and forms to ensure maximum security.

How is payment connected to my account?

eStreamly offers several payment paths — through your e-commerce platform, Stripe, Visa/Cybersource, or PayPal. eStreamly is not a payment company; we surface the embedded payment module of your provider on the video, and payment security is managed by your provider as usual.

Do you provide analytics?

Yes — and the data is yours. After every live, you get detailed analytic reports and insights. Per-clip, per-SKU, per-session breakdowns including time-to-first-hotspot, add-to-cart, conversion...

Is personal information secured?

Yes. We don’t store sensitive information and we tokenize data for maximum security. We also run regular third-party security audits — happy to share details on request.

Who owns the data?

Your customers, your data. You own and have full control over transactions and each viewer’s information. We save randomize and unanimous data, you can export it any time and can delete on request.

Live shopping.

Can my production team manage chat & livestream separately from the host?

Yes. We have two dashboards — one for the host and one for the production team — so anyone on the team can see what’s happening in the livestream without stepping on each other.

Can I see the chat happening on social media?

Yes — our technology merges every chat (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, on-site) into one unified inbox so the host and production team can engage with everyone in one place.

Can I ask a question while the purchase screen is up?

Yes — the video remains viewable at all times. We also offer polling, but polling is only accessible to viewers who are not exploring your products. We prioritize purchase intent over engagement.

Can eStreamly help find a content creator?

Potentially. We work with an extremely talented network of on-camera professionals experienced in livestream selling, plus a broader network of video commerce experts who can support you across the journey.

Can we change the product placement on the video?

The product widget is fixed but there’s a button to hide the chat for a cleaner shopping view.

Can you sell services instead of products?

Absolutely. Native meeting scheduling is also on the near roadmap.

How long should my livestream shopping event last?

We recommend 30 minutes minimum — audience usually peaks around the 20-minute mark. On average, shoppers spend ~8 minutes watching a live event. The more engaging the content, the longer they stay and the more they buy.

Good practice: every 10 minutes or so, re-introduce yourself, your product, and what’s special about this event. We had a great podcast episode on this with a former QVC host that’s worth a listen.
